Electrophysiology
Electrophysiology (EP), a specialized branch of cardiology, examines the electrical impulses of the heart to diagnose and treat abnormal heart rhythms. In the US, atrial fibrillation (AFib) is the most common type of arrhythmia with more than 12M Americans expected to have the condition by the year 2030, according to the American Heart Association. At DeTar Medical Group, our EP team understands that local access to quality care is essential and provides a range of cardiac services to diagnose and treat abnormal heart rhythms, such as AFib.
Our services include invasive and non-invasive methods for managing cardiac arrhythmia, such as medication, cardiac catheter ablation, pacemaker insertion and monitoring, defibrillator implant surgery, and left atrial appendage closure procedures.
