Procedures include:
- Upper endoscopy to visualize and examine the GI tract (includes the esophagus, stomach and duodenum)
- Diagnostic colonoscopy for evaluating presence of diseases of the lower GI tract and developing an individualized treatment plan
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy to check for abnormalities in the lower colon
- Hemorrhoidal IRC (infrared coagulation therapy), a non-surgical treatment for hemorrhoids
- PEG tube placement for patients who are unable to eat or drink
- Push enteroscopy, a non-surgical procedure that finds and treats problems deep inside the small bowel
- Screening colonoscopy, recommended every 10 years for ages 50+ (for those who do not have an increased risk of colorectal cancer)
